Diana Breister Ghosh, M.D. is a plastic surgeon Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. She is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the San Diego Plastic Surgery Society. Staying loyal to her local background, most of her medical education and practice has remained in the Southern California area.
Dr. Breister Ghosh completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California, San Diego, and her medical school training at New York Medical College . She then moved to Los Angeles, where she received her training in Plastic, Aesthetic, and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Southern California.
Dr. Breister Ghosh was afforded the honor of staying on as clinical faculty at the University of Southern California and the City of Hope Cancer Center both located in Los Angeles.
After a successful tenure at the City of Hope, Dr. Breister Ghosh returned to her native San Diego, where she has cultivated a flourishing practice in aesthetic surgery.
She performs many aspects of aesthetic surgery including breast augmentation, breast lift (mastopexy), abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), eyebrow lift, blepharoplasty, and face/neck lift. Furthermore, she has particular expertise in the arena of soft tissue sculpting following bariatric or weight loss surgery, and specialized facial procedures, including dermal fillers such as Restylane®, Juvaderm™, Perlane®, Artefill®, and Botox® Cosmetic. Additionally, Dr. Breister Ghosh is skilled in performing reconstructive procedures for patients with breast cancer or other breast reconstruction needs.
In November 2006 the FDA approved silicone-filled breast implants to be placed by certified physicians. Dr. Breister Ghosh was an Investigator in an FDA approved Clinical Study for silicone-filled breast implants prior to receiving this additional certification.
Surgical procedures are performed on an outpatient basis at modern certified surgery centers conveniently located near her office. Only Board Certified physician anesthesiologists administer anesthesia.
