What to Expect
Many of my patients are referred to me by other patients, or contact me as a result of Internet research. As a result, many people do not personally meet me before they make the decision to have surgery. When you make the initial contact with the clinic or my office, I will gladly schedule a time to chat with you about your specific situation, and to allow us to get to know each other a bit.
Ifeel that it's extremely important for a patient to have the opportunity to discuss their situation with any surgeon whom they are considering to perform their surgery. Once I have received your Health History Form, you will be contacted by the office to set up an in-office or telephone consultation, where we will comb through your medical history. With the information from our conversation, I will write a Letter of Medical Necessity for the insurance company, if necessary. I will also customize the pre-operative testing to meet your specific needs and provide you with a timeline for your testing. This discussion will give you a chance to ask questions directly of me and will allow us some personal time to get to know each other, so when we meet face to face, we're not strangers.
