Renowned cosmetic surgeon Dr. Stephen M. Krant has been Medical Director at SK Clinic in La Jolla, California for 34 years. He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, California Society of Plastic Surgeons, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (F.A.C.S.).

Recognized as an expert in his field, Dr. Krant has performed over 10,000 plastic and reconstructive procedures in his 34 years of practice. He is a graduate of Emory University and the Yale University School of Medicine. He completed his general surgery residency at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center, Chicago. From there he returned to Yale New Haven Hospital where he completed an outstanding residency in reconstructive and cosmetic surgery.

Uniquely blending spa and medicine, Dr. Krant and his wife Lyn Tisdale Krant opened SK Sanctuary medical day spa in 2001 across the alley from SK Clinic. With the goal of treating the whole person, Dr. Krant pursues an ‘integrative’ medical approach: vitamin regimes before and after surgery, a skin care consultation and rejuvenating spa treatments are included with every surgical procedure. The result is not just a physical change, but achieving a balance between physical, mental and spiritual well-being of clients and patients.

Specializing in breast reconstructive surgery, Dr. Krant is devoted to breast cancer education and prevention and has served on the boards of the American Cancer Society, Y-Me Breast Support Group and the local Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center. In 2001, Dr. Krant and his wife Lyn formed SK Institute, Inc., a not for profit corporation dedicated to raising awareness and funds to provide education and support to those who live with disease, while funding other support and research organizations working on preventions and cures. To this end, SK Sanctuary closes one night a month to the public to offer cancer survivors complimentary spa treatments, food and wine as well as guest presentations and seminars.

Dr. Krant appears as a cosmetic surgery expert in local television and newspaper media and is highly qualified to speak on a variety of related topics:
